đ˛ tremendous conversations with myself

My day job is Marketing & Communications Director at the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont (NOFA-VT). I had the opportunity to design our annual winter conference creative this year for the theme "Dream into Being" and it sent me even further into my futurist feels.
Hi friends,
Happy NYE!
Here are some things that lit me up this week:
Â
1.  I revisited Jenny Odell's How to Do Nothing and I feel so at home and alive in its pages.
A summary: "Odell sees our attention as the most preciousâand overdrawnâresource we have. And we must actively and continuously choose how we use it. We might not spend it on things that capitalism has deemed important⌠but once we can start paying a new kind of attention, she writes, we can undertake bolder forms of political action, re-imagine humankindâs role in the environment, and arrive at more meaningful understandings of happiness and progress."Â
If anyone has read (or plans to read) this book please let me know, I'm desperate to talk about it with someone.
Also, this book (combined with a week off from work) snapped me back into a reading habit! Help me keep up the momentum-- if you have book recommendations, send 'em along.
2. Maria Popova's recent post about Nietzsche on Walking and Creativity. Said Nietzsche in his 33rd year, "I am walking a lot, through the forest, and having tremendous conversations with myself." Same same, Friedrich.
3. I know I'm late to the game here, but... I binged Ted Lasso and it felt like a big warm hug. Apple+ offers a 5-day free trial, for what it's worth.

I spent two full days in my studio this week making hand earrings. Stay tuned for a February shop update!
Thanks for reading!
Stay tender, y'all.
